This MHL to HDMI converter allows you to connect your MHL (mobile high definition link) enabled phone into the HDMI socket of a TV or HDMI display. The MHL to HDMI converter connects directly to the TV via the short HDMI lead attached to the converter and the phone connects to the converter using the 3 metre MHL cable supplied. If your phone has MHL, no further setup is required, no apps to download, just plug into your TV using the leads supplied. Click here to find out more about MHL.
This adapter has an RCP function which allows remote control devices to operate the phone from a distance, such as pause, play, rewind etc. (The TV must have a CEC facility in order for this to work - this allows the TV remote to control devices attached to the TV's HDMI socket).
The MHL to HDMI converter has a micro USB socket so that it can be powered by your phone's charger. In this way, the phone will be charged whenever it is connected to the converter.
Many current phones are MHL enabled and these include models from Acer, Alcatel, Asus, Fujitsu, HTC, Huawei, Kyocera, LG, Meizu, NEC Casio, Oppo, Panasonic, Pantech, Samsung*, Sharp, Sony, Xiaomi and ZTE. See the complete list at http://www.mhltech.org//devices.aspx.
*Some Samsung phones require a 5-pin to 11-pin adapter.
