The RDDSI is a single-channel 800W dimming module. The RDDSI is designed for use with Tridonic DSI controllable fluorescent ballasts. The DSI ballasts can be controlled without the need to remove the live feed as is required for the 1-10V ballast type. The RDDSI can also be used with other Tridonic devices using the DSI protocol, such as their LV transformers. The unit is designed to be ceiling-mounted adjacent to the luminaries and will fit through a standard down light cut-out. Its compact design makes it easy to retrofit, making scene-set installations as simple as possible. Each unit stores, in non-volatile RAM memory, its user definable addresses: up to 256 house and 256 room addresses, accommodating the largest of schemes. The dimmer also stores its own channel addresses (up to 15 per room) and four user-programmable scene levels. Communication with other Rako devices such as the RCP keypads is via coded FM radio, eliminating the need for control wiring.
